Regional Director, Coffee Programs & Workplace Hospitality

The Regional Director, Coffee Programs & Workplace Hospitality provides strategic leadership for Canteen's Pantry, Coffee, and Workplace Refreshment programs across a multi-state division. This role is responsible for driving program growth, operational excellence, client satisfaction, and financial performance while establishing standardized best practices across the region.

As a key member of the regional leadership team, the Regional Director partners with Operations, Sales, Procurement, Marketing, Client Success, and Supplier partners to enhance customer experiences, optimize product assortments, drive compliance, and expand revenue opportunities. This individual serves as the subject matter expert and strategic leader for workplace hospitality solutions, ensuring consistency, innovation, and scalability across all regional accounts.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

 

Regional Strategy & Program Leadership

  • Develop and execute regional strategies for Pantry, Coffee, and Workplace Hospitality programs.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the client and consumer experience.
  • Establish and maintain regional standards for service delivery, merchandising, equipment, and program execution.
  • Support new business presentations, RFP responses, client reviews, and expansion opportunities.

Product & Category Management

  • Lead regional assortment strategies aligned with consumer trends, client needs, and business objectives.
  • Partner with Procurement and Category Management teams to review product performance, identify opportunities, and optimize offerings.
  • Drive pricing, assortment, and inventory strategies that support growth and profitability.
  • Leverage market insights, customer feedback, and performance data to inform decisions.

Client Experience & Business Growth

  • Build strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders across the region.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor and escalation point for strategic pantry and coffee programs.
  • Partner with Sales and Operations teams to support client retention, contract renewals, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand workplace hospitality solutions within existing accounts.

Operational Excellence & Standardization

  • Collaborate with regional and branch leadership to drive operational consistency and execution.
  • Develop and maintain program standards, operating procedures, merchandising guidelines, and service expectations.
  • Ensure product availability and supply chain alignment through effective supplier and distributor partnerships.
  • Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions when needed.

Data, Analytics & Technology

  • Utilize business intelligence, reporting tools, and operational data to evaluate performance and identify opportunities.
  • Lead regional initiatives focused on technology adoption, reporting enhancements, and data accuracy.
  • Analyze consumer behavior, sales trends, and product performance to support strategic initiatives.
  • Develop actionable insights that improve customer satisfaction and financial results.

Compliance & Financial Performance

  • Champion Foodbuy compliance initiatives and regional program standards.
  • Partner with procurement and operations teams to balance compliance requirements with client expectations.
  • Support regional budgeting, forecasting, and profitability objectives.
  • Drive accountability for program performance, compliance metrics, and financial results.
Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Hospitality, Foodservice Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in pantry services, office coffee services, workplace hospitality, foodservice, category management, procurement, or related industries.
  • Proven success managing multi-location or regional programs and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong vendor management, supplier negotiation, and category management experience.
  • Experience utilizing data and analytics to drive business decisions and operational improvements.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability management.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region.
