Job Description

Park Avenue Coffee is expanding our roasting production team. This is an entry-level role within our roastery with the opportunity to grow into production roasting and advanced quality control.

You will be part of a hands-on production environment responsible for executing daily coffee production, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the flow of coffee from green to finished product.

This is a hands-on role in a working coffee production environment. The ideal candidate enjoys physical work, has strong attention to detail, and is interested in learning more about specialty coffee roasting and production.

This position helps ensure that every bag of Park Avenue Coffee leaving the roastery meets our standards forย quality, freshness, and accuracy.

What You'll Do

Production & Fulfillment

  • Package roasted coffee for retail, wholesale, and e-commerce orders
  • Label, organize, and prepare finished goods for distribution
  • Pick, pack, and fulfill wholesale and online orders
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production workspace

Roasting Support

  • Assist with roast day setup and workflow
  • Begin training on sample roasting and basic roast theory
  • Shadow production roasting and learn batch execution

Quality & Coffee Development

  • Assist with cupping and quality control processes
  • Support consistency across all coffees and roast levels
  • Develop palate and understanding of coffee profiles over time

Growth Path

  • Progress into sample roasting and QC evaluation
  • Assist with roast profile adjustments and development
  • Transition into production roasting responsibilities
Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Ability to work efficiently in a production environment
  • Interest in coffee and willingness to learn roasting
  • Positive attitude and ability to take direction
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and physical work

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly (team lift for heavier items)
  • Comfortable working in a warm, active production environment

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record

  • Reliable transportation

  • Previous production, warehouse, or coffee experience is helpful but not required
