Join Our Team as a Maintenance Engineer!

Ready to be the hero of our hotel? As a Maintenance Engineer, youll be the go-to fixer, keeping everything running smoothly and making sure our guests and team enjoy a safe, comfortable environment. Youll get hands-on with everything from HVAC and plumbing to electrical and mechanical systemsthink of it as your backstage pass to the inner workings of the hotel! If you love solving problems, have an eye for detail, and enjoy staying active, this position is for you. Bring your technical know-how, a knack for teamwork, and a positive attitude to help us maintain a place everyone loves to stay and work in.

KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical & Preventive Maintenance Powerhouse: Take charge of daily inspections, repairs, and fine-tuning across our hotels plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other systemscatching small issues before they become big ones. Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms, common spaces, and on essential equipment (from refrigerators to ice machines), keeping everything running smoothly for an exceptional guest experience. Handle minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs to ensure our hotel remains both beautiful and fully operational.
  • Quick-Fix Hero: Jump into action to solve equipment hiccups, leaks, and those mysterious electrical issuesno problem too puzzling! Tackle emergencies like fire alarms and power outages with cool confidence, always putting guest safety front and center.
  • Safety Superpowers: Move objects over 50 lbs., scale ladders, and power through physically demanding tasks with strength and stamina. Follow OSHA safety guidelines when wielding tools, handling chemicals, and operating machinerysafety first, always! Keep work areas spotless and safe, with proper storage for tools and hazardous materials to protect everyone.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  •  High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in hotel maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Trade license (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license required, with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

PROPERTY INFORMATION:
This beachfront Fort Lauderdale, Florida hotel is located across from Fort Lauderdale Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel offers on-site dining at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Sea Breeze Poolside Bar, and The Bistro. Las Olas entertainment district is within walking distance. Guest rooms at the Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Beach offer free high-speed internet access and a flat-screen LCD TV. The rooms also provide a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. Select rooms are equipped with a living area with a sofa bed. A fitness center and an outdoor pool are on-site at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Courtyard by Marriott. The hotel offers Starbucks coffee in The Bistro, and laundry facilities are on site.
