What are coffee beans?

Coffee beans are the seeds of the Coffea plant's fruit, commonly referred to as coffee cherries. These beans are harvested, processed, and roasted to make coffee, one of the world’s most popular beverages. Although called 'beans', they are technically seeds. The two most common types of coffee beans are Arabica and Robusta, each with distinct flavors and characteristics. The quality and taste of coffee largely depend on the type of bean, where it's grown, and how it's processed.
