Job description

BAR MANAGER (LEAD BARTENDER / SHIFT LEADER)

Bar Manager (Lead Bartender / Shift Leader)

X-Golf Ashburn

43150 Broadlands Center Plaza Ste 168

Ashburn, VA 20148

Description

X-Golf Ashburn is looking for a Bar Manager / Lead Bartender who can do more than just make great drinks — someone who can run the room when needed and help lead the team.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll be bartending, interacting with guests, and driving the energy of the space — while also stepping into a leadership role to oversee operations when management isn’t present.

If you’re someone who naturally takes ownership, stays organized under pressure, and knows how to keep both guests and staff dialed in, this is a strong opportunity to grow into a leadership position.

What You’ll Do

• Bartend at a high level — cocktails, beer, service, and guest engagement

• Take ownership of the bar environment, energy, and guest experience

• Run shifts independently when needed, including opening/closing

• Support overall floor operations including servers and guest flow

• Ensure service is fast, organized, and consistent

• Handle basic cash management and closing responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory awareness

• Step in to solve problems quickly and keep operations moving

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2+ years of bartending experience required

• Leadership experience preferred (shift lead, key holder, etc.)

• Ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure

• Strong sense of ownership and accountability

• Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented

• Outgoing personality with strong guest interaction skills

• Comfortable working independently when needed

• Availability for nights, weekends, and peak hours

Bonus Points

• Experience opening/closing a bar or restaurant

• Experience in entertainment venues or high-volume environments

• Alcohol certification (TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, etc.)

• Interest in growing into a larger leadership role

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

Why You’ll Love Working Here

• Strong earning potential (hourly + tips)

• Opportunity to grow into a larger leadership role

• High-energy, team-driven environment

• Unique concept combining sports, tech, and hospitality

• Work in a fun, fast-paced setting where no two shifts are the same

Apply Today

If you’re a strong bartender who’s ready to take on more responsibility and step into a leadership role — apply now.
