About the Role
Code Ninjas is seeking a Computer Science Teacher to teach both our JR Program (ages 5-7) and CREATE Program (ages 8-14). As a Code Sensei, you'll help kids 5-14 develop proper coding skills, build fun games, and explore advanced STEM topics.

Responsibilities (what you will be doing)
  • Create a positive, fun, and safe learning environment for children aged 5-14.
  • Deliver Code Ninjas' curriculum, including block-based coding for younger students and syntax-based coding for older students, such as JavaScript, Microsoft MakeCode, VR Coding, Godot, and C#/Unity.
  • Design, create and lead engaging activities such as STEM/Robotics, Minecraft and Roblox programming, 3D printing projects, and seasonal camps tailored to various age groups to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Assess students' progress, and document feedback for parents after each session.
  • Clean and keep the center in perfect order, and safe for all students.
  • Create content for social media and promotional materials based on in-center activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Must have coding / computer science / STEM experience
  • Enthusiastic about teaching kids with empathy, kindness and make it fun
  • Prior experience working with kids aged 5-14 in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or similar roles
  • A well-organized individual with a growth mindset and a can-do attitude to solve problems and support teammates.
  • Resides locally in Tracy-Mountain House area.
