Job description

EKG Tech

Certifications Required: BLS & EKG Course. Local rate: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Client rates reduced by $8.00/hour.

Will they have to float/cover any other areas? Clinic only, hospital has a separate EKG Techs.

Job Duties: Perform and monitor routine and 12-lead EKGs. Apply and remove Holter or event monitors. Ensure accurate data collection and report abnormalities. Maintain equipment and patient records.

Experience or 'Must have' skills: 1 year of EKG Tech experience. Will accept first time travelers.

Average # of scans/studies per day: Rice Lake- 15-20 EKGs, 3-5 Holters, 1-2 Mcots or 4 Nucs & 3 Stress Echos.

EMR &/or PACS: Muse.

Department Specific Equipment: GE.

Radiologist in-house? Cardiologist in house during the day.

Shifts & Scheduling: M-F 8-5, 5- 8 hr shifts per week.

Weeknight/Call Requirements: None.

Weekend/Call Requirements: None.

Holiday/Call Requirement: None.

Call or Standby requirement? None.

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color, clean and processional.

Department specific orientation: 1-2 with a preceptor. MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Marshfield. If clinician previously worked with Marshfield, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.
