Job description

2nd Shift Quality Technician

Monday - Friday (2:15PM-10:15pM)

Under the supervision of the Quality Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring finished goods quality control.

Start: $ 25.15

90 Day: $26.12

1 Year: $ 27.14

Plus a $1 shift differential for 2nd shift!

How You Will Contribute to our Legacy of Excellence:

  • Perform leaker and weight checks, O2 and Co2 checks, fines and shred analyses on the finished product as needed.
  • Monitor overall packaging and shred quality.
  • Verify that package labels, case labels, and film UPC scans are correct.
  • Verify that code dates, code date formats, and code date locations are correct.
  • Document detailed non-conformances in Redzone under the production run and Compliance module.
  • Perform pizza bakes on specified items.
  • Perform shred, dice, and cubes approvals.
  • Perform end-of-production metal detector checks.
  • Place product on hold using the ERP system.
  • Isolate non-conforming products.
  • Monitor the shelf-life program.
  • Assist the Hold Coordinators.

What You Have to Offer:

  • Knowledge of GMP requirements.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Some previous experience in food manufacturing, Quality Control or Quality Lab is desired.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time accordingly, and think ahead.
  • Good decision making- making skills regarding quality standards.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on risk and importance, multi- task and communicate results to supervision.
