The Food & Nutrition Services team at Baptist Health Corbin plays an important role in supporting patient health and comfort through high-quality meal service. Food and Nutrition Services' goals are to provide a variety of nutritional, safe, attractive, healthy food choices for patients, visitors, and staff. Cooks, prepares presents, and serves food items. Ensures that food is prepared in a manner which is nutritious, safe, properly flavored and in compliance with sanitation and safety requirements, and accrediting agency

Job Description

  • Cook and prepare meals using standardized recipes; ensure correct portions for patient diets.

  • Supportspecial eventsand next-day production;maintainfood quality and taste.

  • Follow infection control practices, proper labeling, dating, and rotation of food items.

  • Keep dry, refrigerated, and frozen storage areas clean and organized.

  • Operate food service equipment safely; report malfunctions.

  • Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment using approved chemicals.

  • Adhere to hospital safety policies, dress codes, and infection control procedures.
