The Level II NDE Technician is responsible for, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Performing thickness measurements in accordance with maritime classification societies
  • Data processing and field drawings
  • Adhere to quality control procedures and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Document test results, including writing reports and maintaining accurate records of inspections.
  • Collaborate with management to assure that testing procedures are meeting project requirements.
  • Manage long term projects effectively and professionally by communicating with customer/client representatives and management to effectively meet established deadlines.
  • Responsible for guidance and on-the-job training of trainees and assistants in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, procedures, and the company's written practice.
  • Perform additional NDE service methods like MT and PT. 
  • Must be able and willing to travel in the event support is needed in other regions.

Qualifications, Experience:

Required:

  • Current or previously been certified in accordance with SNT-TC-1A Level II UTT methods.
  • Strong with applicable welding codes, i.e. ASME, API, AWS, etc.
  • Education history.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and able to pass Motor Vehicle History Evaluations.
  • Able to pass an FBI background verification in accordance with Company's Increased Controls program.
  • Required to pass Drug/Alcohol, Fit for Duty, and Ergonomic Testing policies/procedures. 
  • Required to pass Level II testing methods upon hire to perform job duties.

Preferred:

  • ANST/ACCP Level II MT, PT, UTT Certifications, or documented field hours and classroom education that meets or exceeds SNT-TC-1A certification requirements for methods of MT, PT, UTT.
  • Capable of successfully passing Company's Level II MT, PT and UTT certification process.
  • High School Diploma, GED, and/or advanced education.
