Process Controls Engineer/Controls Engineer/Automation Engineer/Process Automation Engineer/Production Engineer/Process Engineer/Chemical Engineer/Electrical Engineer/Electronics Engineer/Mechanical Engineer/Manufacturing/Chemicals/PLCs/DCS/Chemical Manufacturing/ The Process Automation Engineer will act as the lead for the PLC, SCADA and HMI system for a chemicals manufacturer. They will support the Maintenance Manager by identifying and providing solutions to automation needs. The Process Automation Engineer will know about programmable logic controllers, their design, programming, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance.

As the Process Automation Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: · Support Process Control & Automation Safety Management Systems · Responsible for review/approval/design of system specifications & key engineering deliverables. · Assist and provide input on any purchased equipment that has logic, interlocks, or interfaces to the Control System. · Work with IT to define any interface requirements between the DCS/SIS and other systems · Creates the required documentation for development of PLC configuration, programming, graphics, cause and effect interlock logic · Provide technical support and input with creating a loop check process and lead their area with the relevant contractors to ensure correct execution.
