Job description

Under the general direction of the Corporate Director of Health Information Management, provides managerial oversight and technical support for ambulatory coding and charge capture functions.
Responsible for insuring accurate diagnosis and procedure coding as well as providing documentation and coding related feedback and educational services to providers and coders.
Monitors coding productivity and assigns/prioritizes daily work schedules for Coding Specialists, Risk Coders and charge entry staff.
Educates on-boarding of clinicians.
Educates on-boarding of Coding Specialists and Risk Coder.
Approves Payroll.
Attends meetings on behalf of Management as needed.
Assures billing compliance based on review of provider documentation.
This position is located onsite in West Bridgewater, MA
  • Associate Degree required, BA Preferred.
  • 5 or more years in Ambulatory or Hospital outpatient setting.
  • Certification: CPC, CCS-P Required
