Job Summary
The Director, Organizational Effectiveness oversees the Performance Improvement group, including the corrective action programs at the Davis Besse Nuclear Power Plant, to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation. Also, this role oversees the Emergency Planning and Security programs. Additionally, this role has responsibilities over Leadership development and assessment and will lead the stations' ongoing Operations Performance Improvement (OPI) program.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
  • Monitoring and improving personnel and plant performance to ensure that Davis Besse is operated and maintained in accordance with the provisions of the operating license, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and other federal regulations, including the state of Ohio regulations and permits, industry codes and standards, and Luminant requirements.
  • Oversight of the Performance Improvement department.
  • Oversight of the emergency planning staff in maintaining the Emergency Preparedness Program, which functions to protect the health and safety of the public and station employees in the event of an emergency at the site.
  • Oversight of the management and administration of the DBES Security Organization.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
  • 9 -10 years of relevant business and management experience
  • 10+ years of either commercial or Navy nuclear experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with emphasis on issue identification, structuring, and creativity.
  • Strong quantitative skills and business acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to the above skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
