Responsibilities

Directs and oversees all phases of scheduling, precertification, preauthorization, registration and collections required by patients seen within Rehabilitation and Pain Services. Assists the department's clinical coordinator and manager in the overall direction and control of the Rehab and Pain scheduling and precertification teams in the areas of preregistration, insurance verification, patient records, entry of patient charges, monthly patient chart rollovers, reporting functions, daily operations, and personnel. This position must prioritize and perform various administrative duties in conjunction with supervisory responsibilities. Responsible for ensuring standards for quality and productivity are met. Responsible for setting and maintaining par levels of office supplies. Acts as office organizer, trains and offers solutions to challenges as they occur in a growing environment.

QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities / Licensure or Certification Required

Education (One of the following):

  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
    • OR
  • Associate's degree in Business or a Health-Related Field
    • OR
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in a related field

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience leading initiatives and/or projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct, lead, inspire, and train a team of employees.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Technical training in the use of physical therapy or occupational therapy equipment utilized in an outpatient setting.
  • Proficient in medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of billing, insurance verification, and collections processes.
  • Understanding of CMS G-Code/CPT code utilization.
