We are hiring a Construction Assistant toprovide support for all operational and project-related activities.This position is intended for students or new graduates in the field of construction management to provide developmental opportunities and prepare for leadership roles within the organization.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist General Foreman and/or Superintendent and/or Project Manager with daily tasks.
  • Assist operations department in assessing jobsite readiness and project schedules.
  • Deliver work order packets to crews ahead of time, walking the job with them, obtaining answers to their pre-job questions.
  • Receive and manage completed work order packet documentation.
  • Enter completed work order packet data into customers online portal.
  • Manage 811 locate tickets.
  • Assist in preparation of completion reports based on WINS input weekly.
  • Confirm quantities, receive, and code subcontractor/vendor invoices for job costing in AS400.
  • Assist in management of all material orders for crews.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of all supplies for the business.
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of subcontractor agreements, if applicable.
  • Coordinate pre-employment and on-boarding steps and facilitate new hire orientation.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.

  • Associates degree in construction management or related field, working towards a bachelors degree.

  • 2+ years related experience in the construction industry and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Customer oriented; sense of urgency to resolve immediate issues.

  • Clear written and oral communication.

  • Excellent time management and ability to create systems to complete/track tasks.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in construction management or related field from accredited university.
