What You'll Do

As a Duct Mechanic, you'll take the lead on installing and fabricating sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems on commercial and residential projects. You'll ensure quality craftsmanship, mentor apprentices, and maintain safety and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities include:

Measure, cut, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork according to specifications

Perform layout and installation of required materials and equipment for HVAC systems

Operate fabrication tools and equipment safely and efficiently

Ensure compliance with building codes and manufacturer guidelines

Collaborate with foremen and project managers to meet deadlines and quality standards

Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and helpers

Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper care of tools

Follow all safety procedures and company policies
