Job Description Summary:

As Director, Commercial Strategy & Operations, Base Business Still Categories, you will serve as the major intersection (lead) in the organization between brand team and sales / bottlers communicate initiatives to bottlers and customer teams.

The role also acts as the primary source of feedback to the brand/category from customers, channels and geographic teams in addition to managing any issues requiring alignment across large store, convenience retail, drug, value, and club; supporting Commercial in delivery of category plans across channels. They will also develop category-specific multi-year commercial plans for implementation across channels, customers and bottlers.

What You'll Do for Us

  • Leads development of base business commercial strategy and supporting tools and resources for Customers and Bottlers
  • Partners with Brand on annual commercial planning to drive system alignment via routines like Voice of the Market and Ready to Sell. Owns System communication and deployment of commercial plans.
  • Develops base business AMPS and consults on SOGs.
  • Leads development and deployment of annual order of entry in collaboration with Commercial Strategy & Operations Directors of Innovation & Programs.
  • Leads portfolio management and SKU optimization with Brand and PLM subcommittee, including the development and deployment of acceleration and sunset plans.
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain to manage System communication on supply disruption and need for SKU prioritization with Customers and Bottlers.
  • Stewards commercial strategy to Franchise for Bottler alignment and deployment.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree; MBA or another Graduate Degree preferred.
  • 5-10 Years of experience, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry
  • Leadership and experience working across multiple channels - e.g., large store, small store, and Foodservice/On Premise channels
  • Brand/category management experience
  • Proven track record of ability to not only embrace change, but to drive it
  • Collaborating with brand/category teams and other key internal/external stakeholders; effective in influencing wide variety of stakeholders
  • Effectively communicates & builds relationships at all organizational levels; communicates long-term vision and shorter-term opportunities through clear & simple messages.

Preferred Qualifications & Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry
  • General management experience
  • Customer/Sales management experience
