Job description

Job Description Summary:

The Senior Manager, Sourcing Analytics supports the Packaging & Logistics Tower through Analytics and Sourcing responsibilities.

The analytical part of the role includes the collection, management, and analysis of data, providing insight and ultimately driving improvement. The Senior Manager Sourcing will become a key member of a strategic sourcing team, providing analytical rigor and technical expertise enabling procurement leadership to improve decision making. The person in this role will provide thought leadership and drive innovation around how key initiatives across the Tower are developed. The Senior Manager Sourcing will play a key role in developing analytics and will manage upward effectively, challenging leadership appropriately with thoughtful perspective and recommendations.

The Senior Manager Sourcing will also be given opportunities to lead strategic sourcing initiatives as part of the Cross-Enterprise Procurement Group, which includes The Coca-Cola Company, Company Owned Bottling Operations, and Franchise Bottling Operations. The part of the role involves working closely with Bottlers and TCCC stakeholders to identify procurement opportunities, develop sourcing strategies, negotiate global contracts, and help Bottlers implement solutions that create business value.

Key Responsibilities

Category Analytics Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day delivery of sourcing operations services. Activities include:
  • Facilitate sourcing events (e.g. RFP, RFI) through E-Sourcing tool management (i.e. develop bid sheets and cost model, configure E-Sourcing event settings)
  • Collaborate with category managers to ensure compliance to sourcing requirements
  • Lead key analytics activities to provide insight and drive improvement
  • Provide analytical rigor and technical expertise to improve decision-making
  • Act as subject matter expert on sourcing operations policies, processes, and systems
  • Participate in development of analytical capabilities and digitization initiatives
  • Provide leadership with regular, prioritized updates and escalated issues about operations
  • Collaborate with category managers to build an understanding of category strategy, supplier markets, and processes
  • Input and administration of POV tracking and reporting for projects in the I&I tower

Category Sourcing Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives using Collaborative Procurement Model to meet business requirements and maximize value to participants. Take ownership of an initiative from inception to implementation.
  • Develop innovative approaches to sourcing while using analytics and processes to determine scenarios, benefits, risks, and change management impact of each of those options.
  • Lead negotiations of global master agreements that result in preferential pricing, terms, and conditions for the Coca-Cola system.
  • Build alignment with internal stakeholder groups about the sourcing strategy and procurement process for products/services to identify business needs and to ensure implementation to realize procurement value.

Background/Expertise Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or supply chain; advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience in the areas of engineering, business, and/or supply chain
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and judgment
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of RDBMS (via SQL) concepts
  • Data visualization and story telling expertise
  • Proficiency in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes
  • Familiarity with mathematical optimization and linear programming
  • E-Sourcing experience
  • Programming expertise (e.g. XML, VBA, Python) is preferred
  • Strategic Sourcing Strategy: Understanding of strategic sourcing strategies and 7-step sourcing proficiency
  • Data and Analytics: Ability to use data and apply robust analytics to model various business scenarios and analyze resulting cost, impact, risks, and benefits to inform and recommend business solutions.
