Ball Factory Playground | Party | Café in Naperville, IL, is seeking a Manager to join our Team!
We are located at 864 S RT 59, Naperville, IL 60540.
Hourly pay ranges from $20 to $26, plus commission and tips, rate depends on experience and qualifications.
We provide full training. What we are really looking for is someone who loves people and knows how to create great guest experiences. If you are naturally friendly, enjoy leading by example, and like being part of the action, you will fit right in.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, family-focused environment. If you take pride in your team, care about customer experience, and want to grow your skills, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Customer Service

  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently; stay current on loyalty programs, discounts, and promotions; and communicate relevant updates to staff and management.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback and concerns, ensuring a favorable resolution and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming, and family-friendly environment that consistently exceeds guest expectations.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections of all play equipment; promptly report and follow up on any maintenance needs.
  • Oversee and actively participate in facility cleaning tasks, including restrooms, floors, surfaces, and play areas, ensuring high hygiene and presentation standards.
  • Enforce and ensure completion of all daily, weekly, and monthly operational checklists.
  • Uphold and ensure compliance with all Ball Factory policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Food & Beverage Oversight
  • Oversee and assist with basic food and beverage preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, consistency, and safety.
  • Operate kitchen equipment and appliances safely.
  • Prepare a variety of food and beverage items, including coffee-based drinks, grab-and-go options, and specialty food items for events.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, overseeing and performing daily cleaning tasks.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation, labeling, and restocking of all food, beverage, and party-related supplies.
Event & Party Management
  • Book events and manage party reservations using the internal booking software system.
  • Clearly explain event packages, answer questions, and tailor experiences to meet guest needs.
  • Coordinate all event details for parties and group bookings, maintaining clear and consistent communication with guests throughout the planning process to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Collaborate with onsite managers to ensure all party logistics are organized in advance.
  • Maintain accurate party bills and process payments in the POS System
  • Serve as the point of contact for scheduled events-confirming details with management and kitchen staff, and overseeing the successful execution of each event from start to finish
  • Respond to and manage donation inquiries and preparation.
Team Leadership & Training
  • Manage and support staff, including preparing schedules and assigning duties.
  • Execute and oversee the training of new employees, providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Communicate clear expectations and delegate responsibilities across the team and management.
  • Ensure the team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service
Qualifications:
  • Flexible availability on weekdays is required. Full availability on weekends and holidays is mandatory. Previous management experience is required, or candidates must be a senior or graduate in Business Management studies.
  • Strong time-management skills; ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize. Strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable handling phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries. Proficiency in macOS and Google Docs is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Great Mobility. Ability to lift 20 pounds, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, and overhead reaching. Capable of standing for 6+ hrs
