Simtra is seeking highly motivated undergraduate or graduate students for our Fall Co-op Program. We look for diverse students with inquisitive minds and the desire to challenge themselves. Our Co-op students work closely with industry professionals and learn quickly how to problem solve on real-world projects that contribute to clinical research and manufacturing processes. In addition to on-the-job experience, we offer learning sessions with top leadership, site visits to local projects and social events.
The Opportunity:
The CAD Operator facilitates the creation, editing and completion of drawings required for the day to day operation of the Bloomington facility. Drawings are created and maintained to demonstrate to the various regulatory bodies that our operation is in compliance. In addition, these drawings are required to instruct the operators how to do their work.
The responsibilities:
โ€ข Create and revise electronic drawings using AutoCAD according to latest industry standards and latest Baxter standards (examples include, but are not limited to, drawings of manufacturing equipment, processes, machine assemblies, miscellaneous equipment, facility layouts and architectural drawings from redline markups and field verification.
โ€ข Update and maintain departmental drawing binders.
โ€ข Print, file and scan drawings on a continual basis to update the Controlled Document System.
โ€ข Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Required qualifications:
โ€ข Minimum 1 year experience in Computer Aided Design.
โ€ข Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability to use enterprise software (examples include: JDE, BPLM, Pilgrim, Trackwise, etc.)
Physical / safety requirements:
โ€ข Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends
โ€ข Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment is required
โ€ข Position requires sitting for long hours, but may involve walking or standing for periods of time.
