Job description

CTR Group is seeking a CNC Water Jet Operator for an Industrial Technology Company focused on robotics and automation in the Winston, GA area. Immediate opening and urgently hiring!

A Direct-Hire Position!


Pay Rate: $27 per Hour plus Benefits.


2nd Shift (3PM to 1:30AM, Monday to Thursday. Off Friday)


SUMMARY:

Seeking a CNC Waterjet Operator to work at our Machine Shop and cut raw material with waterjet per company provided blueprints. Performs secondary machining as specified on print. Reports to the Machine Shop Supervisor. The Company designs and manufactures turnkey ergonomic lifting solutions for companies around the world.

The Waterjet Operator ensures timely and accurate cutting and secondary work of parts per Company's specifications and procedures

Key responsibilities

• Cuts parts to prepare for finishing per provided schedule to meet or exceed customer’s expectations.

• Trains to be able to utilize various tools and equipment to cut and machine parts of varying difficulty.

• Communicates to supervisor when assemblies are incomplete, need rework, or any other issue that comes up that affect producing the lift for on time delivery

• Uses computer and manufacturing software program to issue materials, report completed routers and view upcoming shipments

• Work in the department as a team member to produce products per manufacturing specifications to achieve or exceed the production, quality standards and goals.

• Move and handle materials as necessary.

• Perform routine cleaning to include sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down equipment, and participating in rotating schedule for cleaning bathrooms and break area.

• Perform any other assignment requested by Lead, supervisor or production manager. In this role you are required to act accordingly to the Company's Code of Conduct and know and follow the Company's values, mission and routines.


Required Experience & Knowledge

  • Prior machining experience is required.
  • Experience with a manual mill is strongly preferred and would be a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with common machining tools and terminology.
  • Must understand basic machining concepts, including:
    • Drilling and tapping
    • Hole sizes and diameters
    • Counterbore vs. countersink
    • Tapping
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints/prints, including dimensions and details.
  • Must be comfortable with basic math, including:
    • Addition and subtraction
    • Multiplication
    • Decimals
  • Must be able to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Experience using calipers is required.
  • Micrometer experience is a plus but can be taught.

Learning & Retention

  • Strong ability to retain and apply information is very important.
  • Candidate should be able to learn processes and consistently apply what they've learned.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to regularly lift 100–130 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job without mobility limitations that would prevent them from safely performing the work.
  • No current back issues or limitations that would interfere with safely performing the job.

Reliability

  • Reliable attendance is critical.
  • Looking for someone with a strong history of dependability and consistent attendance.

Preferred Candidate

  • Someone with previous manual mill experience would be an excellent fit.
  • Candidates with machining experience should already have familiarity with many of the tools, terminology, and concepts used in the role.

Compensation/Role Context

  • The waterjet process is less complex than manual milling from a machine-operation standpoint.
  • Operators are not responsible for their own setups on the waterjet.
