Shop Manager



A to Z Quality Fencing (Fenceperts™)

Location: Farmington, Minnesota

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with occasional overtime

Pay: $28 to $32 per hour depending on experience





Position Overview



A to Z Quality Fencing is looking for a dependable and experienced Shop Manager to lead daily operations in our fabrication shop. This role is hands on and requires strong leadership, organization, and mechanical ability. You will be responsible for overseeing shop workflow, supporting production, and ensuring materials and equipment are ready for our field crews.





Key Responsibilities



  • Operate CNC equipment, saws, and shop machinery for light manufacturing of fence materials
  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift
  • Maintain accurate inventory and track shop materials
  • Pull and stage orders for upcoming jobs
  • Perform light maintenance on shop equipment and company vehicles
  • Lead and manage a shop assistant throughout the day
  • Keep the shop clean, organized, and running efficiently






Qualifications



  • Previous experience in a shop, manufacturing, or construction environment preferred
  • Ability to operate forklifts and shop equipment safely
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Mechanical aptitude with basic maintenance knowledge
  • Welding experience is a strong plus
  • Ability to work independently and stay on task






Requirements



  • Must be able to pass a drug screening
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
