Location: Jackson, TN

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Custom Cabinet Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of our cabinet shop, manage production workflow, and ensure high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with custom cabinetry as well as stock cabinet lines, and the ability to lead a team while balancing production schedules, quality control, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the cabinet shop, including production scheduling and workflow
  • Oversee custom cabinetry projects from design review through fabrication and installation
  • Manage ordering, handling, and integration of stock cabinet lines alongside custom work
  • Lead, train, and supervise shop staff, installers, and subcontractors as needed
  • Ensure quality control standards are met for both custom and stock cabinetry
  • Coordinate with designers, sales staff, and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines
  • Monitor materials, inventory, and equipment maintenance
  • Enforce shop safety standards and best practices
  • Assist with estimating, job costing, and process improvements to improve efficiency and profitability

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in cabinetry or woodworking, including custom cabinetry
  • Proven experience working with stock cabinet lines (ordering, modifications, installation coordination)
  • Prior management or supervisory experience in a cabinet shop or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods, materials, and finishes
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
