Job description

The Quality Assurance Manager is an essential member of the management team and is responsible for overseeing the activity of the quality assurance department.    

Witco Inc. is a precision CNC Turning, Milling, and Gear Cutting company that services various global industries, including Aerospace, Medical, Defense, Metal Mining, Oil and Gas and Outdoor Sporting Goods. We are a short run facility with typical build sizes ranging from 10-pieces to 500-pieces.

Responsibilities:


  • Effectively manage quality team of CMM programmers, quality engineers and technicians.

  • Work within a management team to establish organizational objectives, direction, strategies and metrics.

  • Interface with Manufacturing, Engineering and Sales to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Conduct inspection layouts, read prints, improve inspection throughput.

  • Departmental reporting to the Executive Committee and General Manager.

  • Analyze departmental metrics and implement appropriate actions.

  • Participate in corrective actions and issue resolution.

  • Communicate professionally and proficiently with customers and vendors to resolve quality issues.

  • Oversee measurement equipment inventory and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Recommend quality improvement projects.

  • Engage in hands-on activities as needed.

Required skills:

  • Strong leadership and organization abilities.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office, and ERP software.
  • A comprehensive understanding of AS9100 and/or ISO9001:2008.
  • An awareness of ITAR Compliance.
  • Advanced understanding of high tolerance aerospace parts using all the standard quality inspection tools. 
  • Read and interpret blue prints.
  • GD&T
  • Expert use of measuring and test equipment.

Details:

  • Full Time Employment with an Excellent Benefits Package
  • Monday – Friday 6:00am – 4:30pm, with some Saturday mornings required
  • Lunch 12:00pm – 12:30pm
