  • Set up and operate machines for cutting, drilling, and grinding various materials
  • Control machine speed, feed rates, and path of cut to ensure precision and efficiency
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
  • Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, materials, dimensions, reference planes, and tolerances
  • Confirm part setup and program accuracy prior to machining
  • Inspect completed parts to verify dimensional accuracy and quality
  • Maintain quality and safety standards in accordance with QA procedures
  • Detect malfunctions and report issues to management
  • Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Ensure continuity between shifts through clear communication

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience with 3-axis, 5-axis, and 3+2 machining
  • Competent with basic Microsoft Windows applications (Excel, Word)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Technical Skills

  • Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, scales, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of machining strategies and tool paths
  • Ability to verify setup accuracy before machining
  • Crane operation certification (preferred)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, balance, and rotate trunk
