Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • CNC Programming 3-axis CNC machines on a variety of materials including aluminum, acrylic, steelย etc.ย  Using G-code and M-code programming language.
  • Setting up and operating CNC machines, designing and manufacturing fixtures as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and machining processes.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances of machined parts.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
  • Make necessary adjustments to programs and offsets.
  • Maintain machine routing sheets.
  • Ensure correct material is being used for yield and machinability.
  • Support other manufacturing processes in the shop.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • CNC Programming, Machining, Milling and Set-up with at least 5 years of experience preferred.
  • Strong blueprint reading and shop math skills.
  • Experience with tolerances = +/- .001"
  • Bridgeport experience preferred but not required
  • Able to work independently on projects and as a member of a team
  • Great motivational and people skills
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to learn new things.
  • High mechanical aptitude and ability to think 'outside the box'.
  • Machine tool and assembly experience a plus
  • Proficiency in G-code programming (experience in conversational a plus).
  • Ability to use measuring equipment (Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Steel Rules, etc.).
  • Held previous position in management/leadership
  • Knowledgeable of quality control processes.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
