Job description

GFMCO, LLC is currently seeking members to join our Team at our Cordele, GA Plant

Assist in operating computer-controlled machines to perform one or more machine functions on ductile iron pieces

  1. Properly load and unload material and parts in CNC machine

  2. Use gauges and measuring equipment to maintain tolerance requirements

  3. Maintain a high quality of workmanship, quantity of work, and cycle time.

  4. Understand and interpret G-code programming

  5. Understand and abide all safety procedures, quality policies, specifications, and instructions

  6. Other tasks assigned by management personnel

  7. Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the company handbook

  8. Clean and maintain work station and surrounding area

Ability to learn the use of general machining tools:

  1. (Gauges, Micrometers, calipers, 1-2-3 blocks, indicators, etc.)

  2. Ability to learn the use of a Fanuc or Mazatrol controller

  3. 1 year CNC machining experience; (preferred)

  4. Ability to remain standing for long periods of time

  5. Ability to lift parts up to 50lbs

  6. High sense of urgency and pay close attention to detail

  7. Ability to understand and abide by all safety procedures, quality policies, specifications,and instructions when operating machines

  8. Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

  9. Must have reliable transportation.
