Job description

CNC Operator, Stone Countertop Fabrication

Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Work Type: In-Person
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some Saturdays
Pay: $22 to $27 per hour, based on experience

Take the Next Step in Your CNC Career with a Growing Stone Fabrication Team.

Are you an experienced CNC Operator looking for a steady day-shift role with a team that can help you get up to speed quickly? Granite Plus in St. Petersburg, FL is adding a CNC Operator after investing in a Helios Super Zeus machine that is already installed and ready for regular production use. This is a great opportunity for a strong CNC operator from a job shop, manufacturing, or fabrication background who wants to apply their skills in the stone countertop industry.

Why This Opportunity?
  • Steady Day Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some Saturdays as needed.
  • Competitive Pay: $22 to $27 per hour, based on experience.
  • Newer Equipment: Work on a Helios Super Zeus CNC machine that has already been set up and is currently being used by the production manager.
  • Training Support: Join a team with two current operators and a production manager who can help you get familiar with the equipment and workflow.
  • Benefits: 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays.
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Operate a Helios Super Zeus CNC machine for stone countertop fabrication.
  • Run jobs according to production needs and shop priorities.
  • Load, set up, and monitor the machine during production.
  • Check parts and finished pieces for accuracy and quality.
  • Work closely with the production manager and other CNC operators to keep work moving efficiently.
  • Follow shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Communicate clearly with the team, especially in a production environment where Spanish is commonly spoken.
What You Bring:
  • CNC operating experience in a job shop, manufacturing, fabrication, or similar production environment.
  • Ability to operate CNC equipment safely and accurately.
  • Willingness to learn stone fabrication processes if you do not already have stone industry experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow production instructions.
  • Bilingual Spanish and English skills are helpful. Spanish-only candidates may be considered. English-only candidates may have a harder time due to the shop’s production environment.
  • AlphaCAM experience is a plus, but this is an operator role, not a programming role.
  • Ability to pass a background check and driving record check.
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment physical at a medical clinic, including screening related to silicosis and lung disease.

Ready to bring your CNC experience to a growing stone fabrication shop with steady hours, strong equipment, and a team ready to train you on their process? Apply today.
