Job description

Machine Shop Supervisor
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Machine Shop Supervisor for a company based in Decatur, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee the daily operations, ensure that production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.

Pay Rate 
$25.00 or per hour based on experience

Schedule and Hours 
Monday through Friday, 7 00 pm to 3 30 pm.

Machine Shop Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure EH&S and Quality objectives are reached and maintained in the department.
  • Quote machining and fabrication jobs for external customers.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Ensure completion of safety documentation for assigned group, such as travelers, map sheets, job router, work requests to other departments, etc.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures.
 
Machine Shop Supervisor Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining, milling, turning, and fabrication process.
  • 1 year of machining experience, preferred 2 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Previous supervisor experience.
