Job description

Company Vision: To be an industry expert for supplying precision machined components and assemblies to OEMs in the U.S.A.
Primary Job Duties:
  • Maintain acceptable setup standards (i.e. time and quality)
  • Provide cycle time and job layout corrections.
  • Run production to productivity and quality standards.
  • Transfers and/or downloads programs to CNC machine control.
  • Follow layout to properly arrange and set cutting tools to be used.
  • Install work holding devices, part ejectors and other necessary accessories as specified.
  • Instructs operators or other workers in machine setup and operation.
  • Set up machines for other workers.
  • Complete daily maintenance and 5S standards.
  • Communicate work status.
  • Follow policies and procedures, Vision, Values, Principles, and Philosophies.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance.
  • Any specifically assigned tasks.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
  • A proven track record in operation and setup of CNC machines.
  • Must be able to adjust tools and other machine components, adjust the position of work piece or material, set controls, and verify accuracy of machine capabilities, properties of materials, and shop practices.
  • Must be able to use tools, equipment, and work aids, such as precision gauges and measuring instruments.
  • Must be able to make decisions using the principles of logic, as well as knowledge and skills acquired through experience and training, in a timely manner
  • Must be able to gather information on job processes and report back to management with process improvements
  • Shop math (i.e. add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, decimals, percentages)
  • Must possess advanced blueprint reading skills, including GD&T.
  • Technical School certificate/degree preferred.

Requirements
  • Lifting up to 25lbs, including bending, twisting, crouching, etc.
  • Must be able to stand for 10 hour work shift
  • Must be able to work with oils/coolants
  • Must be able to work in noisy environment
