Job description

Brake Press Operator

Set up, operation, and monitoring Brake presses ensuring quality stampings are produced per the production orders and engineering specifications. Monitor's press and adjusts throughout the stamping run. Performs necessary quality checks, records information and performs general utility work to meet work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate automatic and semi-automatic power brake machine which forms sheet metal to blueprint specifications.
  • Produce completed formed parts from a provided blank to a specified print dimension.
  • Check height, depth, and thickness using calipers, gauges, and other precision-measuring instruments.
  • Adjust programming to ensure parts meet engineering specifications.
  • Complete spot inspections of parts.
  • Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
  • Ensure cleaning of machine and 5S of work area are completed daily.
  • Complete and maintain paperwork.
  • Other duties as assigned, including the operation of other machines, sort, rework, de-nest, assembly, weld or processing of other parts as a manufacturing team member. Refer to the Manufacturing Team Member Job Description.
