What You'll Do
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you'll support providers and clinical staff while helping ensure patients receive safe, efficient, and compassionate care throughout their visit.
  • Prepare patients for appointments by obtaining vital signs, weight, oxygen saturation, medical history, medication information, and allergies.
  • Communicate relevant patient information and concerns to providers and clinical staff.
  • Assist physicians and other clinical professionals with office-based procedures and treatment preparation.
  • Set up procedure trays and help maintain appropriate sterile technique.
  • Collect and process specimens according to established protocols and applicable OSHA and CLIA/COLA requirements.
  • Assist with patient communication, including telephone triage and documenting telephone encounters.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and clinical documentation.
  • Help monitor medical supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Ensure clinical equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and ready for patient use.
  • Educate and assist patients by providing information related to their care and physician-directed instructions.
  • Follow infection-control, safety, privacy, and other applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members to support efficient patient care.
Qualifications
Required
  • Successful completion of a nursing assistant program or equivalent training.
  • BLS certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a medical/healthcare setting.
  • Previous EMR experience.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment nursing assistant skills assessment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
