If you are committed to compassionate care, teamwork, and excellence, we invite you to become part of our mission-driven organization.Location: Beloit Memorial Hospital - Beloit, WISign-On Bonus: YesShift: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift availableSchedule: 6:45a-3:15p, 2:45p-11:15p, 10:45p-7:15aHours per week: 24-32 hours per weekBenefits Status: Benefits EligibleDepartment: Medical Surgical & Intermediate/Cardiac StepdownIn this position the Certified Nursing Assistant will:Take and record vital signs accurately and in a timely manner, reporting unusual signs and symptoms to appropriate personnel.Provide personal hygiene care for patients such as bathing, oral care, hair/nail grooming, back rubs, etc., while maintaining a clean, safe environment and documents accordingly.Assist patients with their nutritional needs and documents appropriately on the nursing record.Assist patients with ambulation, transporting via wheelchair, stretcher or bed while maintaining safety for the patients.Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges of patients and records on appropriate nursing forms.Observe safety precautions including call lights within easy reach, bed positions in low, side rails up, proper use of safety restraints, and continuous rounding on all patients. Initiates use of bed alarms when appropriate.Maintain confidentiality of all patients, hospital and/or physician related information while performing work related duties in a professional manner.Perform the following procedures and appropriately documents: K-pad applicationApply non-sterile compressSet up basic traction framesProper use of EPC'sFoley catheter removalEmpty colostomy bagsObtain clean catch urine specimenMay fulfill the role and assist with cardiac monitoring if EKG course graduate and/or score 85% or higher on BMH EKG exam.Job Requirements:Current CNA certification in WisconsinBLS/CPR certification within 3 months of hireStrong communication and teamwork skillsCompassionate, patient-centered approach to careAbility to thrive in a fast-paced hospital settingDemonstrates ability to do simple math functions.Previous healthcare experience preferred but not requiredApply today and become part of our team!
