Registered Dietitian (Part-Time)

Facility: Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Position: Registered Dietitian
Location: Boynton Beach, FL
Schedule: Part-Time (16–24 hours per week)
Salary: $40–$42 per hour

Join Our Team

Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in supporting the nutritional health and overall well-being of our residents through individualized care planning, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans

  • Document and implement nutrition interventions within the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Monitor and evaluate residents’ nutritional status through clinical data, laboratory results, weight trends, intake records, and medical conditions

  • Conduct kitchen assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and facility standards

  • Review meal tickets and communicate findings and recommendations with the Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)

  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents, families, and staff

  • Collaborate with nursing, medical, therapy, and dietary teams to enhance resident outcomes

  • Ensure compliance with CMS, state, federal, and company regulations

  • Assist with survey readiness and support successful survey outcomes

  • Provide coverage at other facilities as needed

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Registered Dietitian credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

  • Active Florida Dietitian/Nutritionist license in good standing

  • Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience preferred

  • Knowledge of CMS regulations and nutrition-related survey requirements preferred

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional resident care
