Job description

Summary:

Fior di Sole is looking for a Web Developer to design and build engaging web pages and scalable, intuitive interfaces across our web and mobile products. You’ll turn designs and brand guidelines into polished, responsive web pages, streamline APIs and shorten user journeys, and ship production-ready features. This role also includes managing and maintaining Fior di Sole’s social media presence, creating and publishing engaging content, and ensuring our digital platforms and social channels consistently reflect our brand. This role is a strong fit for an experienced web developer who enjoys owning both hands-on page building and complex UI/UX challenges, while also contributing to digital marketing and social media. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to deliver mission-critical, user-facing experiences and strengthen Fior di Sole’s overall digital presence

Reports to: Sr. Marketing Manager 
Classification: Full-time, Exempt 
Compensation: $75k - $90k 
Location: 100% on-site at Napa, CA offices 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Design and build responsive, visually polished web pages and websites using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, and WordPress/CMS platforms.
  • Translate design mockups, wireframes, and brand guidelines into pixel-perfect, cross-browser web pages.
  • Build and maintain scalable, type-safe frontend interfaces using React, React Native, and TypeScript across web and mobile platforms.
  • Design, build, and customize CMS templates and themes (WordPress/PHP) for marketing, brand, and corporate websites.
  • Design APIs, align data schemas, and streamline end-to-end user workflows.
  • Lead frontend development for SaaS, mission-critical, and enterprise-grade applications, including complex identity and data platforms.
  • Design and optimize UI/UX for multi-step forms, navigation, and mission-critical workflows.
  • Integrate frontend builds into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and reliable, frequent releases.
  • Build API layers that bridge legacy backend frameworks (e.g., Java) with modern frontend architectures.
  • Continuously improve frontend performance, accessibility, and responsive design across devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and marketing stakeholders to launch new web pages, campaigns, social media initiatives, and digital experiences.
  • Manage Fior di Sole’s social media presence across relevant platforms, including developing content calendars, scheduling and publishing content, monitoring engagement, and maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual identity.
  • Create, organize, maintain, and update digital assets, including website graphics, social media content, campaign materials, promotional assets, photography, video, and other branded digital materials.
  • Coordinate the development and adaptation of digital assets for web, social media, email, advertising, and other digital marketing channels, ensuring assets are properly formatted, optimized, and brand compliant.
  • Collaborate as part of an agile team, embracing best practices and modern tools for frontend development, including Git, Jira, and Figma.
  • Actively participate in design and code review processes across the team.
  • Produce high-quality, well-documented code with an emphasis on software craftsmanship.
  • Ensure the codebase remains continuously deliverable, discoverable, and deployable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Graphic Information Technology, Design, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field OR High School diploma/GED plus 5+ years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong, hands-on expertise in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with a track record of shipping production web and frontend applications.
  • Proven experience designing and building responsive web pages and websites from mockups or wireframes, with strong HTML5/CSS3 skills.
  • Experience building and customizing WordPress sites, themes, and PHP-based CMS templates.
  • Strong JavaScript architecture skills, with experience designing scalable, maintainable component systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and digital initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs, including bridging legacy backend systems.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment workflows.
  • Strong UI/UX design sensibility and the ability to turn complex workflows and brand guidelines into intuitive, polished web pages.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with backend, design, marketing, and other internal teams.
  • Experience building custom brand or corporate websites on platforms such as WineDirect, WordPress, or similar CMS/e-commerce platforms.
  • Background in digital marketing, SEO, social media management, or campaign-aligned web development.
  • Experience managing social media platforms, including content planning, scheduling, publishing, community engagement, and maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Experience creating, editing, organizing, and maintaining digital assets for websites, social media, email marketing, advertising, and other digital channels.
  • Ability to create and adapt digital content, including graphics, photography, video, social media content, and other branded marketing materials.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design and content creation tools.
  • Familiarity with social media management, scheduling, analytics, and content publishing tools.
  • Understanding of web analytics, SEO best practices, and social media performance metrics.
  • Photography and graphic design skills are a plus.

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
