Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and operate CMM machines (PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, or equivalent) for dimensional inspections of high-precision components.

  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot inspection routines based on GD&T specifications and engineering drawings.

  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections.

  • Generate detailed inspection reports and document non-conformances.

  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure proper calibration standards.

  • Mentor and train quality techs or operators on advanced inspection techniques as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of CMM programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency with PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, or equivalent CMM software.

  • Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience with surface plates, height gages, micrometers, and other precision inspection tools.

  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems is a plus.

  • Experience with aerospace, automotive, or industrial components preferred.

  • Prior experience at high-precision manufacturing environments (e.g., G.W. Lisk) strongly desired.
