About the Role
MWH is currently seeking a Senior Scheduling Manager to join our team in Gresham, OR.
The Scheduling Manager will be responsible for coordinating schedules, managing deadlines, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring the smooth operation of project scheduling processes.
Essential Functions
  • Develop and maintain Cost and Resource loaded project schedules for large water/wastewater projects utilizing Primavera P6 in accordance with company procedures, project specifications, and industry best practices.
  • Full-time on the project site.
  • Plan the pre-construction, construction, startup, and commissioning activities at the project site using industry best practices and insight from project team members.
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, specifications, aerial photography, or other topographical or geological data.
  • Estimate durations, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
  • Identify and anticipate schedule risks; assist in developing and implementing mitigations.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to align with project requirements and deadlines.
  • Communicate schedule changes and updates to all project stakeholders and suggest action when necessary.
  • Analyze scheduling data to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to scheduling coordinators and project team members.
  • Manage and develop junior project schedulers.
  • Present on topics such as bid proposals, construction sequences, project changes, and delays.
  • Review project changes for impacts and assist in preparing change notices as required by contract.
  • Prepare Time Impact Analysis and associated narratives and reports.
  • Prepare and manage cost and resource loaded schedules for use in invoice generation.
  • Contribute to improving scheduling practices at MWH.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or related field; or equivalent combination of experience, skills, and training.
  • Minimum 10 years verifiable experience in construction work sequencing, productivity, and scheduling as well as preparing and maintaining detailed construction schedules.
  • Experience scheduling projects over $100 million.
  • Experience scheduling 2 or more water or wastewater treatment plant projects and ability to provide personal references from owner representatives as such.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Expert level experience utilizing Primavera P6.
  • Experience in development of baseline schedules, incorporating subcontractor schedules, schedule updating, analysis of progress, including project compliance processes and audits.
  • Experience with Cost and Resource loaded schedules.
  • Proficiency with construction management software (Autodesk Build, Procore, CMiC, Viewpoint, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with customer facing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as: Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), or Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP)
  • Working knowledge of other scheduling software (MS Project, Asta, NetPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with schedule analytic software (SmartPM, Acumen Fuse, Schedule Validator, etc.)
  • Experience with 4D scheduling software.
  • Experience with Lean Construction or Last Planner System
  • Primavera database administration experience

Compensation
  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $190,000 - $220,000/yr., based on experience.
