Job Title: Manufacturing Designer
Location: Springfield, MO
Pay: Based on Experience
Job Type: Full-Time
Join Our Team at Creative Modular Construction (CMC)
CMC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Designer to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting fabrication and production operations through product design, project coordination, and technical documentation development. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and Inventor, organized, collaborative, and eager to contribute within a fast-paced manufacturing and construction environment.
What You'll Do
• Lead product development design initiatives collaborating with fabrication, production, and assembly teams.
• Create detailed Inventor models that coordinate multiple scopes of work.
• Create detail part drawings and detailed assembly documents.
• Create CAD drawings and electronic files for CNC fabrication
• Assist with estimating takeoffs, mockup development, quality analysis, quality control, and value engineering efforts
• Maintain project schedules, documents, data, and organized project files
• Assist in the preparation of product drawings for various building materials and systems
• Work collaboratively with project managers, estimators, operations teams, and fabrication personnel
• Attend scheduled project management, estimating, and operations meetings as requested
• Support development of new ideas, products, and process improvements
What We're Looking For:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor is required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systems, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Understanding of manufacturing processes required. 3 plus years of experience preferred.
• Understanding of construction industry practices and building systems preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete tasks and prioritize effectively
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Quick learner with a desire to grow and take on challenges
• Professional demeanor and team-oriented attitude
• Highly motivated with a positive outlook and strong work ethic
• Enjoys hands-on development, innovation, and collaborative work environments
