Job description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, performing clinical services to encompass a wide range of clinical responsibilities including performing, interpreting and issuing reports of molecular pathology diagnostic laboratory tests. This will include CMA, NGS, FISH, Sanger sequencing, and real-time PCR for oncology and inherited diseases. In addition, the faculty member will participate in the teaching of pathology residents, fellows, medical students, and lab technologist trainees. They will also attend and participate in intra and inter-departmental conferences, pursue scholarly activities to include research, publications and presentations at national and international meetings, participate in departmental and institutional committees and perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

PhD, MD, or MD/PhD with board certification or board eligibility through the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) in Molecular Genetics and Genomics (MGG), Cytogenetics and Genomics (CGG), or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG), or through Molecular Genetic Pathology (MGP).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hands-on experience with a wide range of molecular and cytogenetic laboratory techniques.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
