Job description

Position: Valet.

Position Summary:
Parks automobiles for Members and their Guests along with maintaining proper utilization of the coat check room. Greets Members and their Guests at the Club’s main entrance with genuine hospitality. Handles and delivers To Go dinners as needed. Hours are 4-9 Tuesday through Saturday and 10-2 Sunday, with other shifts available depending on business needs. Walk away with cash tips every shift. Weekend and Holiday availability is a must!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • As the first employee to make contact with our Members and Guests, the Valet shall always greet them with a smile and verbally welcome them to Glen Oaks Country Club.
  • Always assists Members and Guests in and out of automobiles; opens lobby doors.
  • Park as well as retrieve automobiles for Members and Guests.
  • Issues and collects automobile tickets. They are not required to be used if you feel comfortable with the number of members you have.
  • Maintains a safe and clean entryway to the Club including the sidewalks and under the portico. 
  • Operates and respects all Member's and guests’ cars safely and appropriately. 
  • Deliver ToGo meals to Members within the gated community.
  • Deliver pick-up food to the member's vehicles upon arrival at the Club.
  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time.

Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to withstand long periods on their feet and walk various distances. 
  • Must be able to deal with stressful situations respectfully, while ultimately correcting the problem. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
