Job description

Summary Gain practical work experience by helping coach a club sport which involves organizing practice and games as well as enforcing emergency policies and helping the club with administrative activities. Career Readiness Competencies: Career & Self-Development Communication Critical Thinking Essential Functions Demonstrate knowledge of coaching skills for a particular sport Assist the Head Coach whenever needed Monitor activities of the club Demonstrate a mastery of all precautionary safety measures associated with Club Sports Provide a safe and fun environment for Club Sport Participants Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Recreation and Wellness Student Employee Manual Promote and support the mission of the Department of Recreation and Wellness Available on weekends for both home and away contests Be involved in the administrative side of the club to help the Officers Perform other duties as assigned by professional staff Minimum Qualifications Possess knowledge of the sport they are coaching Good communication skills Have knowledge of Club Sports policies and procedures One semester of prior coaching experience is preferred Bowling Green State University is an equal opportunity employer.
