Job description

Cloud9 Cannabis is seeking part-time Sales Associates for our dispensary in East Peoria, IL. In addition to joining an incredible team, our team members will also enjoy tips, an hourly rate starting at $16 per hour, and weekly discounted samples that are valued up to $300! We also offer an employee discount of 30%!

Our Sales Associates are responsible for providing exceptional customer service and developing rapport with our patients, vendors, services providers and staff. Sales Associates effectively communicate cannabis knowledge to patients and team members as well as recommend and help select the proper medicine depending on their individual needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a start up cannabis organization that will continue to grow throughout the state of Illinois. This individual must be motivated, positive, and eager to assist our dispensary through startup operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with Cloud9 standards.
  • Develop and maintain rapport with our patients, vendors, service providers and staff.
  • Ensure patients' concerns and questions are solved/answered promptly and efficiently, and communicate patients' requests and problems to management when needed.
  • Recommend, select and help locate the proper medicine for patient depending on their individual needs.
  • Communicate the effects of different types of cannabis to patients clearly and effectively.
  • Ensure strict controls to protect the organization's assets at the direction of management.
  • Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise, and monitoring the floor's inventory levels, as well as participating in inventory counts.
  • Frequently maintain dispensary's cleanliness (i.e. dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping and sanitization)
  • Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform other related work as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/general education degree (GED) preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • Retail, cash handling and Point of Sales (POS) experience preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience in the cannabis industry preferred, but not required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work weekends and some holidays.
  • Ability to pass all required background checks as it pertains to Illinois cannabis laws.
