We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Systems Engineer (System Administrator) to join our team to manage and support our Linux-based private cloud infrastructure. Ideal candidate to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

 This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot and resolve issues, automate routine tasks, and implement security best practices. Candidate collaborates with other IT professionals, developers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting, managing, and maintaining our Linux-based private cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on creating automation, deployment, and monitoring scripts to enhance operational efficiency and reliability. This role requires expertise in Linux systems, cloud technologies, and scripting to ensure the smooth functioning of our private cloud environment. A candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning are essential.

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Apply security patches and system updates regularly.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu) and cloud technologies (e.g., OpenStack, Kubernetes).
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl for automation and monitoring purposes.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with commercial backup storage systems.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, virtualization technologies, and storage solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Experience in supporting Telecom IT systems is a plus.
