Halcyon Days Consulting, LLC (HDC) is a veteran owned small business that specializes in the design and engineering of Tactical Mission Networks (TMN). This is a unique opportunity to join a small and high-performing team committed to delivering cloud platforms for exciting missions.
HDC is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer who will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced functions of Microsoft Office 365 and/or Azure AD premium, including security, governance, and compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
  • Design and implement complex computer and information networks (LANs, WANs, intranets, extranets).
  • Perform network modeling, capacity planning, and infrastructure analysis.
  • Design and implement network and computer security measures.
  • Research and recommend significant changes.
  • Act as a technical expert across multiple concurrent projects.
  • May supervise and mentor junior team members.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in cloud platform engineering or related IT fields. A Master's degree may count for up to 2 years of experience, and a PhD may count for up to 4 years. Up to 1 additional year of credit may be applied for relevant certifications.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Cloud technologies, including Azure AD Premium and office 365. Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Key Vault, Redis Cache, Service Bus, NSGs, Application Insights, SQL DB, and OMS.
  • Must be capable of designing and supporting ADFS identity solutions and managing Azure cloud environments.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud deployments and migrations to Azure. Familiarity with CI/CD practices using tools like Jenkins, TFS, and PowerShell.
  • Ability to provide second-level support for compute, network and storage issues in Azure and AWS environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification highly desired.
  • Proven experience designing scalable, secure cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues in hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong background in cloud security, and compliance training.
SALARY RANGE:
$160,000-190,000
This salary range is an hourly exempt (exempt from overtime) position. Benefits are provided in addition to the salary range.
