Job description


NOVO is a fast-growing, innovative Cloud Solutions Partner seeking a Microsoft Cloud Engineer to implement Azure/M365 Enterprise solutions for our customers. This position is responsible for onboarding new customers by performing cloud migrations, enterprise configurations and supporting the Cloud Operations Support team. The Microsoft Cloud Engineer is a project-focused role, requiring a background in project delivery and process improvement concepts and methodologies.
Essential job duties include:
  • Plan and execute complex cloud migration and IT infrastructure improvement projects
  • Lead the migration, refactoring and/or transformation of existing applications and infrastructure services from physical data centers to Azure
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
  • Continually assist with the baseline design and implementation of Microsoft Azure concepts to include IaaS, PaaS, Azure ARM templates, Azure Blueprints, and Azure policies
  • Build and maintain cloud operations tools for monitoring, notifications, trending, and analysis to achieve efficiency in cloud operations through automation and self-repair utilities
  • Maintain a deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Management Tools, and related technologies as well as technical certifications.

  • Experience with managing projects schedules.
  • Three+ years' experience performing migrations to Cloud platforms; not just assisting others trouble shoot issues during their migrations.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies including O365 migrations, consolidation of multi-tenants, TEAMS migration, and O365 security; Azure IaaS, migrations on on-premise servers, networking, and workstations; and Intune (mobile device management), inventory and device control, and patching.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Windows 2012 and newer Servers, Windows 7/8/10 including maintenance and support.
  • Knowledge of network technologies including cabling typologies, firewalls, routers, switches, VPN, and interconnecting LAN/WAN communication protocols.
  • MS Azure, O365
  • MS AD Connect
  • Windows Server and Active Directory, DNS
  • Secure and redundant infrastructures, i.e. AV, firewalls, GPO, high-availability solutions
  • Microsoft Exchange and email security/filtering solutions
