Job description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Cloud Compliance Analyst/Engineer.
Position type: Contract
Duration: 12+ months
Location: Hybrid 3 days onsite in Chandler, AZ
As a Cloud Compliance Analyst/Engineer, you are required to :
• Support cloud governance and compliance activities by assessing cloud use cases and ensuring adherence to organizational IT policies, standards, security requirements, and cloud governance frameworks.
• Apply cloud governance control objectives and compliance requirements to applications and workloads seeking deployment on Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of applicable IT policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and cloud governance control frameworks to effectively evaluate cloud solutions.
• Interpret and apply cloud compliance and governance requirements across cloud onboarding, application deployment, infrastructure design, and production readiness processes.
• Navigate and utilize various systems of record, governance repositories, risk management processes, and compliance documentation to validate control implementation and compliance evidence.
• Act as a trusted advisor to application teams, business stakeholders, developers, DevOps engineers, Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), change management teams, and project managers throughout the cloud onboarding lifecycle.
• Provide technical cloud governance guidance to use case requestors and application teams to ensure successful navigation through cloud governance, approval, and certification processes.
• Review cloud architectures, engineering designs, and data flow diagrams to assess compliance with cloud governance standards, security controls, and risk management requirements.
• Evaluate the applicability of cloud governance controls and ensure that mitigation measures are appropriately designed, implemented, executed, and sustained.
• Support the onboarding and certification of cloud-hosted applications and services by validating compliance with control objectives and governance requirements.
• Partner with cloud governance bodies, architecture review boards, engineering teams, and risk management functions to ensure alignment with enterprise cloud strategies and standards.
• Maintain working knowledge of cloud platforms and services including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, as well as related cloud-native technologies and capabilities.
• Demonstrate understanding of cloud engineering concepts, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, source code repositories, automated testing, configuration management, and change management practices.
• Assess cloud workloads, applications, and infrastructure for security, compliance, operational readiness, and production deployment approval.
• Provide oversight and consultation on the quality, completeness, and sustainability of compliance evidence supporting cloud control implementation.
• Support risk assessments and control evaluations by applying industry-standard risk management and control design principles.
• Identify compliance gaps, control deficiencies, and operational risks, and recommend remediation actions to ensure governance objectives are achieved.
• Participate in cloud governance reviews, quality assurance activities, production readiness assessments, and compliance tollgate reviews.
• Manage multiple active cloud onboarding and governance engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely progression through governance workflows and approval processes.
• Effectively communicate cloud governance requirements and control expectations to stakeholders with varying levels of technical and cloud expertise.
• Scale compliance and control guidance appropriately across diverse audiences, including developers, DevOps teams, engineering leaders, PMOs, and business stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, application teams, cloud engineering teams, and governance stakeholders throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Stay current with evolving cloud technologies, services, platform enhancements, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to provide accurate and relevant guidance.
• Leverage Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Word to prepare governance documentation, compliance assessments, presentations, reporting materials, and stakeholder communications.
• Facilitate workshops, governance meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder reviews to support cloud use case assessments and compliance activities.
• Support risk management, risk analytics, and regulatory compliance initiatives by providing cloud governance expertise and control oversight.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of cloud governance processes, compliance frameworks, onboarding procedures, and control validation methodologies.
• Work effectively in Agile environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud governance and compliance objectives.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, leadership, coaching, troubleshooting, critical thinking, and self-management skills while supporting complex cloud transformation initiatives.
• Communicate complex cloud governance, security, compliance, and risk concepts clearly and effectively to both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Support governance decision-making by providing risk-based recommendations, compliance assessments, and cloud control advisory services.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $50 - $53 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate''s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
