Job description

Job : Cloud FinOps Automation Engineer

Location: Remote (Preference for PST Hours)

Duration: 3 Months

Commitment: 20 Hours per Week

Employment Type: Contract Position Summary We are seeking a Cloud FinOps Automation Engineer to support automation and integration efforts across a multi-cloud environment. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on automation, scripting, APIs, and systems integration, rather than day-to-day platform administration.

The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable automation solutions, integrating enterprise systems, and streamlining processes across cloud, identity, and reporting platforms. Job Responsibilities

  • Integrate and support Apptio Cloudability across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
  • Develop automation for user provisioning, access management, and platform administration.
  • Integrate with enterprise identity solutions, including Active Directory, IAM, and SSO platforms.
  • Build and maintain API-driven workflows and system integrations.
  • Automate data extraction and reporting processes for downstream reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Support onboarding of new cloud accounts and ongoing platform enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize integrations to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Work independently to deliver automation solutions and technical recommendations. Required Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • PowerShell scripting
    • REST API integration and automation
  • Experience working within AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments.
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications with:
    • Active Directory
    • IAM and SSO solutions
  • Strong understanding of automation, systems integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver technical solutions with minimal oversight. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Apptio Cloudability or other FinOps/cloud cost management tools.
  • Experience with cloud automation frameworks, runbooks, or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
