Key Responsibilities
- Execute the annual capital expenditure plan, delivering multiple concurrent infrastructure projects including HVAC replacements, electrical upgrades, roof replacements, building envelope improvements, and major equipment installations.
- Manage all phases of project delivery from design development through construction closeout and commissioning.
- Oversee contractors and construction teams to ensure work meets specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Control project budgets and schedules, proactively addressing issues to keep projects on track.
- Coordinate project activities to minimize disruption to facility operations and building occupants.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders for technical accuracy and cost impact.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control throughout construction to verify compliance with plans and specifications.
- Manage project closeout including punch lists, as-built documentation, warranty collection, and final acceptance.
- Track capital spending against approved budgets and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Required qualifications:
- 7+ years of facility-related work experience, including customer service, leadership, and supervisory experience with managerial responsibilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance processes with understanding of construction planning and execution
- Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems with demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service
