Business Overview:
Functions within the Asset Finance & Securitization platform that spans across both Global Banking & Global Markets, "AFS" offers clients integrated capabilities of origination, structuring and execution of structured debt solutions and related advisory services. This includes Asset Based Lending, CLO Structuring & Warehousing, Export Finance, Metals & Mining Structured Debt, Energy, Resources & Infrastructure (ERI), Project Finance, Transportation, and Syndication.
The role sits within the CLO Structuring team responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) Warehouses and CLO Primary transactions for our corporate and institutional clients.
Role descriptIon:
This role will provide support to the CLO Structuring team, within the CLO Primary business. The candidate filling this role should be experienced in CLO Structuring and documentation, having managed deals independently from early stages of formation through closing. Tasks will include working closely with portfolio managers and equity investors to structure CLOs and assist with deal documents. Interact with rating agencies, attorneys (internal and/or external), and various other internal channels. Candidate should have the ability to lead as deal captain in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks and move seamlessly across activities with little direction. Strong quantitative and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities:
The CLO Structurer will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Act as as a key participant in the CLO Structuring process of a CLO primary transaction managing all parts of the structuring process
  • Interact closely with Collateral managers, Equity & Debt Investors and any/all relevant players in a transaction
  • Familiar with rating agency methodologies and able to negotiate transaction documents with them
  • Ability to think outside the box and deliver exceptional service and strategic solutions
  • Spearhead the creation of marketing materials for clients/investors the firm is working with.
  • Mentor junior members of the team and invest highly in their growth.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Proficient in computer languages/programming (VBA primarily) is a plus.
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of CLO Documentation (Indentures, OMs etc.), CLO modeling tools, and Intex.
  • Work within a team environment
  • At least 5 years of CLO Structuring experience

FINRA Registrations Required:
  • SIE, Series 7 and 63 licenses will need to be obtained within a reasonable amount of time

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $225,000 to $235,000 at the Vice President level and $150,000 to $200,000 at the Associate level annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
