Job description

The CLO Primary desk is seeking a self-motivated athlete to join the premier CLO arranging platform. As an Associate on the structuring team, you will work in an intellectually rigorous environment where you will receive hands-on training from senior team members in the analysis and modeling of CLOs. Our work is multifaceted and complex, requiring deep analytical skills, adaptability, and a drive to solve challenging problems.

The CLO team is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and supportive culture, recognizing that our success is built on teamwork and open communication. You will work closely with colleagues across credit, leveraged loan trading, sales, private credit financing and syndicate, operating as part of a dynamic banking function within a leading markets business. Job Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and run CLO cash flow models; produce transaction analytics and outputs used for marketing, execution, and internal review
  • Develop in-depth familiarity with the rating agency models, Intex, and reconcile/tie out cash flows and outputs across platforms
  • Analyze loan portfolios and distill key metrics, risks, and performance drivers to support structuring decisions
  • Learn and apply rating agency criteria and methodology; support and help manage the ratings process and related deliverables
  • Support documentation workflows by reviewing, tracking, and coordinating comments with counsel and internal stakeholders; verify document updates are implemented accurately
  • Ensure consistency between deal documentation and modeling assumptions across rating agency and investor models
  • Respond to investor analytics requests; clearly summarize results for senior deal leads and incorporate feedback into deliverables
  • Prepare, quality control, and update investor marketing materials, pitch books, and deal outputs; ensure terms and materials are updated as transactions evolve
  • Support transaction execution timelines and deliverables (including price-to-close process) and coordinate across syndicate, legal, and middle office/operations through closing
  • Monitor warehouse / ramp status and collateral composition versus modeling assumptions; flag deviations and potential risks early
  • Identify tasks suitable for automation and support process improvements to enhance team efficiency and controls
  • Manage junior workflow on assigned workstreams and review analysts work product for accuracy and consistency

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Prior experience in CLOs, leveraged finance, structured credit, or a closely related credit markets role
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; advanced Excel required; Python/VBA a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complexity and ambiguity under tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively across functions
  • Intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, challenging, and collaborative team setting
  • Familiarity with rating agency methodologies and CLO documentation
  • SIE, Series 7, Series 63 and Series 79 licenses are required
