About the Opportunity
42 Bar and Table Restaurant is open 7 days a week. We offer lunch and brunch on Sunday. 42 maintains 4.8 out of 5 and 100% recommended in open table. Voted best Business Lunch in Soiree recommendations. Everything is made from scratch all the way down to the ice cream. Great family atmosphere that believes in superior hospitality and proving a Presidential experience.
The Host provides an exceptional customer service experience by promptly greeting customers and seating the patrons in a friendly, courteous manner and maintaining the overall flow of guests in the restaurant, while maintaining a good impression of the restaurant. This position must greet guests with a warm smile and make them feel welcome. As guests leave the restaurant, s/he confirm they had a memorable experience, and s/he will invite them back. S/he will also perform a variety of other tasks at 42 table and Bar which may include ringing up orders, refilling beverages, setting tables, and cleaning eating/serving areas.
Core Responsibilities
In this role you will:
  • Greets guests with a smile when arriving and departing; Accommodates any special needs of guests, i.e., boosters, highchairs, disabilities.
  • Maintains a wait list when the restaurant is full; answers phones, & checks messages at least twice per day; takes reservations and takeout orders.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area and cleans tables and work areas as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards/procedures applicable to the position, including attendance, time, quality control, and other standards.

Minimum Qualifications
What we're looking for:
  • You must have a Real ID or a Passport to work at the Foundation and access the NARA building.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1- 2 years of prior work experience in customer service positions
  • Must be able to multi-task. Ability to cope with varied and fast paced activities.
