This will be a Contract Academic Staff position and does not confer eligibility for tenure.
The Department of Surgery is a leader in academic medicine. Our educational and research missions support excellent and innovative clinical programs across our teaching hospitals. The successful candidate will join the Division of Vascular Surgery at the McGill University Health Center (MUHC), which currently consists of 7 surgeons across 2 hospitals dedicated to providing the highest standards in Vascular Surgery patient care, research, and education. Approximately 900 vascular surgery cases are performed annually at the MUHC. The Division also administers the MUHC Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory with an annual volume of approximately 12,500 non-invasive examinations per year.
The Division of Vascular Surgery plays an important role in Surgical Education with its own Royal College Accredited Vascular Surgery Residency, a 1-year Advanced Endovascular Fellowship as well as its important role in providing vascular surgery education for residents in other training programs. The Division is also active in Research with a surgeon Research Director, a full-time Research Associate and two full-time research coordinators.
